A couple of weeks ago one of my students ask me about blackhat techniques, so I decided to share all ideas and tricks pro SEO use for Black Hat purpose.
Many of my clients say their website has been penalized by google. Yes… but, it is not their fault; For many, it was a lack of SEO knowledge and best practice and in some cases, an over smart SEO consultant earned them the punishment.
In order to explain further the behavior that will lead to a penalty, let’s take a look at the ‘ popular black hat SEO’ practices in SEO Industry.
What is Black Hat SEO?
Any On-page or off-page practice that intends to falsely manipulate a website’s search position is called the Black Hat SEO technique. There are many ways an SEO expert can do this, all of these tricks are bad for your website, bad for search engines and at the end of the day, it is bad for the internet user.

Automatically Generated Content
Anything that looks like it was written by the software is bad for the human reader, as the language of the information/article will be unnatural, nonsensical, and unreadable and of course, stuffed full of keywords.
The website visitor doesn’t like these kinds of content and they close your site quickly this increase your website bounce rate which is a clear indication to Google that there is something wrong on this page. Cloaking and Irrelevant Redirects
Cloaking is a technique of showing different content to search engine’s bot on a website and different content to visitor than what a website visitor expected to see when they clicked through from search engine.
You should also be careful when using 301 redirects that you’re sending visitors to a page with similar content sometimes bot can be confused and can take it as a cloaking. Watch Matt Cutts video on cloaking
Doorway Pages
Doorway pages are WebPages used for spamming a search engine by creating multiple pages for specific high-value phrases with thin or no value-added content but end up just sending visitors to the same particular destination/page. Hidden Text and Links
Hiding text or links on a webpage can manipulate search rankings, and lead to a ban from their index. Multiple ways you can hide text on a webpage. simply use white text on a white background, Black text on a Black background, use very tiny font size, Use CSS to position text off-screen or behind an image, set font size to zero, or add a link on any single character Like a full stop at the end of a paragraph within the content.
Don’t try hidden text black hat technique. It’s not in use now. It was a little bit though.
Keyword Stuffing
Keyword stuffing is a method of making your webpage relevant to manipulate the search engine’s relevancy algorithm factor. As we all know that their primary focus is providing relevant results. So SEO Spammer uses to fill their page with 100 of keywords to trick search engines that it is very relevant to a particular topic/keyword. You should use keywords appropriately and in the proper context of the article. Although the value of keywords is losing ground over the years, now, only you should make sure that you are using your keywords in the first paragraph of your Title Tag and using keywords specific keywords in description tag. However, if your keyword density is too high, this can be a red flag for the Google penalty.

Link Buying Schemes
Any kind of link scheme where links are bought and sold is frowned upon; however, money doesn’t necessarily have to change hands. It can be any kind of trade.
Be aware of anyone asking to swap links, particularly if both sites operate in completely different niches. Also stay away from any automated software that creates links to your site.

If you have guest bloggers on your site, it’s a good idea to automatically Nofollow any links in their blog signature, as this can be seen as a ‘link trade’.
All sponsored content should also have Nofollow enabled.
Bloggers have also been warned to No follow any links to any websites that exchanged a product or service for a review.
Scraping
If you take articles from a site and republish them without permission you will cause all manner of duplicate content issues, and bring down the wrath of Google.
Data scraping is a technique people use in SEO they copy content from other websites either manually or using scrapper in which a computer program extracts data from human-readable output to reuse of that content. read more at Webopedia
Unnatural Link Promotion
Like all other techniques discussed above, this is also a black hat SEO technique where one site promises to include links to another in exchange for content or some other promotion. This is particularly conspicuous for search engines also if the links appear to be irrelevant to the content.

User Generated Content (UGC) Spam
User generated content black hat SEO technique mostly used by the forum, question-answer sites and comment sections in your website can be a haven for web spammers, so make sure you automatically Nofollow all links that may appear on your website’s comment sections. You should also regularly clean up your comment sections for anything that doesn’t genuinely contribute to the conversation of a topic. Read about UGC Spam on Google product forum.
Conclusion: In SEO, black hat SEO refers to the use of aggressive optimization strategies, techniques and tactics that focus only on search engines and how its algorithm works and not a human visitor, and usually does not obey search engines guidelines of optimization of webpages. and other side search engines always promise users to provide relevant, accurate and updated results so as to full fill their promise companies like google, bing and other search engines always try to rank down and remove those webpages trying to manipulate their algorithm and ranking.
